A very nice family atmosphere restaurant, kind and friendly people working there.
Its batter you make a reservation as it’s always busy.
Food is nice , a Rome authentic food menu . Fresh homemade pasta 👍
Must try the fried squid and and steak 🥩.
This was very highly recommended to us by our friend, it was disappointing.
The ravioli was too thick and the truffle more like a powder than shaved pieces, wasn't shaved at the table, and was not pungent/fresh at all. The fish was very good, the service was lovely. Beware the prices are considerably higher than what is shown in the pictures (or on their current website🤔🤔).. For example, the black truffle tagliatelli was €50, while the white truffles one €80.
The worst experience we’ve had in Rome!
The owner is absolutely rude, very different from the waiter who was very polite.
We’ve had super salty pastas, but that wasn’t the problem.
By the end of our meal, the restaurant’s owner moved my toddler’s stroller away saying it was on his way (although it is super small and it was in the place of a chair). My older son asked him to get his phone that was on the stroller. Pietro asked us where we were from, we’ve said Brasil, then he said we shouldn’t worry because nobody would take the phone, as we weren’t in Brasil. How rude!!
First moves the stroller, then makes fun of our country.
My older son just wanted to use his phone and my younger son just wanted to sleep on his stroller while we had lunch.
It’s a shame because the Carbonara was great and the waiter very polite.
What a disappointment!!
This restaurant was right outside our hotel, tucked away in a side street. We decided to go here our last night and it didn’t disappoint. We got the fettuccine alla bolognese and the caprese salad. Both were very good. Our serve was very sweet and quick. Great option in Rome!
The restaurant was right below our place. We went there to eat and it was amazingly delicious, very friendly waiters, beautiful guests. Very pleasant place.
A hidden gem that came highly recommended by my local friends. Although it wasn't on any of the typical tourist to-do lists, I had a feeling that this place would be something special, simply because it had the stamp of approval from the Roman locals. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff made us feel right at home. Our waiter, Massimo, deserves a special mention for his exceptional service. He was attentive, friendly, and truly made our dining experience memorable.
Every single dish we tried was absolutely spectacular. It's hard to pick favorites, but the veal milanese and the pasta Amatriciana were truly outstanding. The veal milanese was cooked to perfection, with a crispy golden crust and tender meat inside. The pasta Amatriciana had the perfect balance of flavors, with the rich tomato sauce and the savory guanciale blending harmoniously.
The chefs deserve a round of applause for their culinary expertise. The dishes were prepared with precision and attention to detail, showcasing the flavors of traditional Roman cuisine.
I must say, I feel fortunate to have stumbled upon this wonderful eatery.
Trust the locals, and you won't be disappointed.
Cozy Friendly restaurant. Excellent pasta but ideally you are sharing it with someone. Artichokes are delicious and the buffalo mozzarella is amazing. Chocolate cake is very nice too but very rich.
Hostaria da Pietro!
From the moment you enter, you feel this amazing typical Italian/Roman sense of humor ( the tall statue/picture stand ) welcoming everyone with his big smile!
Hostaria da Pietro, Roman cultural restaurant right in the city center of Rome ( near to Piazza del Popolo) a little bit hidden from tourists eyes, but lucky enough to find, where you can taste an authentic Italian food with superb customer service. Special thanks to our waiter Mateo, presenting the Perfect Roman/Italian hospitality and cuisine.
